There never was a good war or a bad peace. ~Ben Franklin
TPF President Mark Manley writes, 3 Aug 2014:
"Saddened to hear this morning that author Billie Letts died yesterday. She went to jail at the first protest I ever attended when Dick Cheney came to town. I know many in Tulsa Peace Fellowship will remember that day."
From NewsOK: "An avid Democrat and activist who protested on behalf of the peace movement, both during the Vietnam and Iraq Wars, Letts, at age 69, was handcuffed and arrested while protesting an appearance by then-Vice President Dick Cheney in Tulsa."
