“The theme of this year’s event is ‘Bringing us Together,’” said Nathaniel Batchelder, director of the Peace House, which sponsors the event each year.
Batchelder said. “Many groups sell books, calendars, fair trade goods, t-shirts, bumper stickers or other things related to their mission,” he said. “The Festival is a holiday shopping bonanza before Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, or winter solstice celebrations.”
Fair trade and home-made goods offered at the tables include organic coffee, pottery, crafts, carvings, and hand-made items from local artists and around the world.

The Peace Festival is a family event with an adult-supervised Children’s Activity Room adjacent to the Festival hall, offering poster-making, arts & crafts, and nonviolent games.
