A. Proposals (nominations) for new members on the TPF Steering Committee

B. American Friends Service Committee’s “Eyes Wide Open” boot display

C. Situating TPF as community partner for Youth PROMISE Act. Viz. courses in Non-Violent Communication (NVC)

D. Theme for next monthly antiwar demo in September

3. Activities/Events

10th August (date moved back, from 3rd August): CR workshop in Oklahoma City. Presenters will be Diane Wood from Peaceful Vocations in Fort Worth (who will have just returned from the national convention in Chicago) and Hart Viges of IVAW and Non-Military Options for Youth in Austin. The plan is to start at six o'clock at Joy Mennonite Church, in Oklahoma City. Hosted by the Oklahoma Center for Conscience (OCC)

6th September through 4th Oct 2009: American Radical Thought!! Course being offered @ Peace House Tulsa. a course taught by Davis D. Joyce, for Peace House-Tulsa (in the Church of the Restoration, Unitarian Universalist, 1314 N. Greenwood Avenue). Offered in five sessions, on Sunday evenings at 7:00 PM, beginning September 6th, 2009. (Each session will last from an hour and a half to two hours.) The total cost for the course will be $55. Please RSVP to Joni LeViness at the Peace House-Tulsa or by email myths16 [insert symbol] cox.net or by telephone (918) 231-2514. (Please note that if we don’t have at least 15 people register for the course, we won’t be able to do it.)
