Lots of positive response this month! Thank you to everyone who stopped by with donations. We made a spontaneous decision to direct this month's donations to the Iraq veterans who are now war-resisters and conscientious objectors, being prosecuted by the military for the refusal to continue to collaborate with the U.S. occupation. Today's donations will go towards defraying the cost of their legal representation. Some recent high profile C.O. cases have been taken up by GIRightsLawyer.com, based in Oklahoma City.

If you are in the military, you can get a free initial consultation from the law firm of James M Branum.

We are grateful to J.R. Branum for the training he has provided TPF members on the issues of counter-recruitment and conscientious objection.

Testimonials

"As a veteran and a conscientious objector, I support the Oklahoma Center for Conscience. It's one thing to say you support the troops, and it's another thing to actually do something to help military personnel with their problems. I hope that the Oklahoma GI Rights Hotline will empower our G.I.s to be informed of their legal rights under military law."
- Dennis Watson, Veterans for Peace

Ironically, today, at the TPF anti-war demo, one of these so-called supporters stopped by to drop off "tin medals" for the veterans in Veterans for Peace, who are also part of Tulsa Peace Fellowship. TPF also welcomes members from Veterans for Common Sense.

Finally, thank you to the Officers of the Peace, with the Tulsa P.D., who came by to provide protection. Tulsa Police are always so very helpful at every TPF event in the city.
