We had another good event, this month, with cooperation from the weather, including a high of 77 degrees.

Some of our favorite comments this month's honk-for-peace:
"My horn is busted. Honk, honk!!"
"We love you guys!"
And from a 5-year-old girl, reading our TPF banner:
"What does fellowship mean?"

Thank you again, Tulsa, to everyone who stopped by with donations. We will continue to direct this month's donations to the Iraq veterans who are now war-resisters and conscientious objectors, being prosecuted by the military for the refusal to continue to collaborate with the U.S. occupation of Iraq. Today's donations will go towards defraying the cost of their legal representation. Some recent high profile C.O. cases have been taken up by GIRightsLawyer.com, based in Oklahoma City.

If you are in the military, you can get a free initial consultation from the law firm of James M Branum.

We are grateful to J.R. Branum for the training he has provided TPF members on the issues of counter-recruitment and conscientious objection.

Testimonials

"As a veteran and a conscientious objector, I support the Oklahoma Center for Conscience. It's one thing to say you support the troops, and it's another thing to actually do something to help military personnel with their problems. I hope that the Oklahoma GI Rights Hotline will empower our G.I.s to be informed of their legal rights under military law."
- Dennis Watson, Veterans for Peace
