There never was a good war or a bad peace. ~Ben Franklin

Civic resistance against police brutality, downtown Tulsa, 10th January 2015

Event organizers "We The People Oklahoma" explain:

We will be holding down our corner in front of the BOK Center this weekend!! If you've never been to one of our rallies, there are some things to know:

1) We encourage you to bring your friend or a family member. Standing up for your rights is scary, it's good to have people you love and trust around for your first time!

2) EVERYTHING we do is LEGAL. We have had one "run-in" with officers where they reminded us to stay on the sidewalk. We were already there, and the officers even took pictures with us!

3) Everything we do is PEACEFUL, LEGAL, and RESPECTFUL. Yes we're loud. Yes, we have megaphones. It's cold. We have to stay hyped up or we get cold!

Come hang out with us or at least come take pictures of these crazy people and tag us on your facebook feed. Your silence is your acceptance!
