WikiLeaks Whistleblower Bradley Manning Says He Wanted to Show the Public the "True Costs of War"
For the first time, 25-year-old U.S. Army Private Bradley Manning has admitted to being the source behind the largest leak of state secrets in U.S. history.
In the news coverage here, the news outlet plays the disturbing video of a war crime caught on film, as soldiers rain death from above on hapless civilians in Baghdad, Iraq. In the audio you hear the Apache helicopter team say they have "engaged", although there was no danger to them; then from the safe distance of a mile they cut civilians in two with 50-mm rounds, civilians including Reuters journalists who were unaware they were being trailed from afar, from above.
