These review conferences, held every five years, attract high-level national officials from around the world to discuss the treaty’s implementation.

To heighten the pressure for the abolition of nuclear weapons, nuclear disarmament groups are staging a Peace and Planet mobilization, in Manhattan, on the eve of the NPT review conference. Calling for a “Nuclear-Free, Peaceful, Just, and Sustainable World,” the mobilization involves an international conference (comprised of plenaries and workshops) on April 24 and 25, plus a culminating interfaith convocation, rally, march, and festival on April 26, 2015. Among the hundreds of endorsing organizations are many devoted to peace (Fellowship of Reconciliation, Pax Christi, Peace Action, Physicians for Social Responsibility, Veterans for Peace, and Women’s International League for Peace & Freedom), environmentalism (Earth Action, Friends of the Earth, and 350NYC), religion (Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns, Unitarian Universalist UN Office, United Church of Christ, and United Methodist General Board of Church & Society), workers’ rights (New Jersey Industrial Union Council, United Electrical Workers, and Working Families Party), and human welfare (American Friends Service Committee and National Association of Social Workers).

See this article on antiwar.com
"Who Are the Nuclear Scofflaws?"
by Lawrence Wittner
March 31, 2015
http://original.antiwar.com/lawrence-wittner/2015/03/30/who-are-the-nuclear-scofflaws/ Ban Ki-Moon slams West's threats against Iran tag:tulsapeacefellowship.ning.com,2012-09-22:2567841:Video:23365 2012-09-22T20:47:18.959Z Tony Nuspl http://tulsapeacefellowship.ning.com/profile/TonyNuspl

This 20-minute segment from Iranian TV includes voice over in Persian.

The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has praised Iran in the global arena and lashed out at the West's threats against the Islamic…

This 20-minute segment from Iranian TV includes voice over in Persian.

The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has praised Iran in the global arena and lashed out at the West's threats against the Islamic Republic Hibakusha choir - Nagasaki Peace Memorial Ceremony 2008 Japan tag:tulsapeacefellowship.ning.com,2012-08-09:2567841:Video:22607 2012-08-09T17:30:49.559Z Tony Nuspl http://tulsapeacefellowship.ning.com/profile/TonyNuspl

vocabulary: HIBAKUSHA : The surviving victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are called hibakusha (被爆者?), a Japanese word that literally translates to "explosion-affected people".
