Drone Warfare: Jeremy Scahill on Obama Admin's Admission 4 U.S. Citizens Died in Drone Strikes

The Obama administration has admitted for the first time to killing four U.S. citizens in drone strikes overseas. Essentially, three of those four were accidental deaths, because drones are a heavy bludgeon, leading to indiscriminate civilian deaths.

"Crowd kills", euphemistically called "signature strikes" by the Obama administration, may stop, with the change in policy announced today. So-called signature strikes allowed for the killing of individuals based on patterns of behavior (not accused of any specific crime) and other characteristics (making association with others a capital offense) without knowing their actual identity (that's right, they used drones against people whose names were unknown to the CIA or Pentagon).
