We're seeking a new TPF Vice-President for Antiwar Campaigns

The Tulsa Peace Fellowship, a non-profit civic-sector organization, has a proud history of demonstrating locally against U.S. war-making. If you share a passion to highlight the injustices of U.S. foreign policy, please consider volunteering for this executive-level position with TPF. We are dedicated to non-violent activism and consciousness-raising to stop the the cycle of violence.

As VP, you would be part of a 3-person volunteer executive team, and you would have one vote on the larger TPF Steering Committee, that functions on a consensus basis (details in our by-law).

Required:
-Share our values, with commitment to nonviolent activism and/or civil disobedience in the tradition of MLK

-Willing to work together with the TPF Steering Committee, the governing body for our organization, and abide by its priorities

-Stay focused on antiwar activism and/or counter-recruitment in conjunction with the National Network Opposed to the Militarization of Youth (NNOMY)


Desirable

-Live in Tulsa or within easy commute and attend meetings diligently

-Initiate a Tulsa-area event for Campaign Nonviolence Week, September 21-27, and any other activist campaign deemed a priority

-Take charge of the TPF entry in the MLK Parade in Tulsa, January 2019

-Coordinate with the national-level Peace Action USA and/or other national groups

-Likely you are already trained in non-violent communication (NVC), or willing to learn

-Help raise funds for the non-profit, in conjunction with other members of the TPF SteeringCttee

-Follow and contribute to Facebook discussion group, updating event notices

-Abide by a code of ethics for non-profits
