There never was a good war or a bad peace. ~Ben Franklin

Rand Paul's traditional filibuster is in its 10th hour, vowing to speak on the Senate floor “as long as it takes” to draw attention to his concerns about the Obama administration’s policy regarding the targeted killing of Americans on American soil. Taking the floor just before noon today to block an expected vote on the nomination of criminal John Brennan (head of the Obama drone assassination program and principle coordinator of the American citizen kill list) as Director of the CIA. Paul said he would continue “until the alarm is sounded from coast to coast that our Constitution is important.” “Are we so complacent with our rights that we would allow a president to say he might kill Americans?”...“No one person, no one politician should be allowed … to judge the guilt of an individual and to execute an individual. It goes against everything we fundamentally believe in our country.”

Even if you don't always agree with Rand Paul, this is an important stand he is taking in defense of our unalienable rights enshrined in the constitution. Please consider re-posting this story or even better, call your Senator and tell him to VOTE BRENNAN DOWN!

Although TPF does not endorse political candidates or current officeholders, you are WELCOME to criticize President Obama's nomination for CIA Chief aka "drone czar" as much and as LOUDLY as you like!
