EDMOND — Razi Hashmi, of Edmond, center, sends a message to Israel Friday afternoon at the corner of the Classen and 23rd Street intersection in Oklahoma City. Hashmi also is the executive director of CAIR-Oklahoma, an Islamic civil rights organization. The protest was organized by the Peace House of Oklahoma City and Tulsa Peace Fellowship. Across the street were two Israeli supporters, front, Margy Pezdirtz, pastor of Manna Fellowship in Midwest City, and Renee Keathly, of Noble. Earlier this week, nine activists were killed during an Israeli military raid on a Palestinian aid ship.
