About minute 1:25 you can see TPF board member and environmentalist Jean MacMahon refute the pipefitter union's arguments in favor of the pipeline, that would run from Cushing to Galveston.
Actually, the other main argument from the pro-pipeline side is pretty ignorant: 1. the diluted bitumen is for EXPORT, not domestic consumption in the U.S., as TransCanada wants to sell their oil to China; and 2. the pipeline will remove the local GLUT in Oklahoma, and therefore the local price of gas will go UP, not down. Economists predict that the local price of a gallon of gas will go up between $0.25 and $0.35 per gallon, if the Keystone XL pipeline goes through.
