There never was a good war or a bad peace. ~Ben Franklin
A special thank you to Clark Inkaniswh for providing the keynote address, at yesterday's TPF holiday season dinner, and celebration marking 10 years of TPF peace activism, since the society was re-activated in 2002, in the run-up to the Iraq War.

Clark's presentation was both instructive and inspiring, helping us all to learn about the medicine hoop and its role in promoting peace.
Its aspect as a tool of introspection seems to dovetail nicely with the textbook used this fall, for the TPF course on non-violent communication (NVC) and non-violent ethics (character building). The text emphasizes the necessity of a meditative practice, for effective activists. It is entitled "Engage: Exploring Non-violent Living".
