Fabulous poster art, apparently inspired by the Ashcan School of protest art from the early 20th century. This poster is apparently from Seattle.
Pumping tar sands through pipelines involves inordinate risks of burst pipes. It can only be moved if volatilized with highly toxic chemicals and pumped under high pressure, resulting in a very high likelihood of split seams in pipes, leading to massive spills, and noxious clouds of gas, with the heavy bitumen seeping into riverbeds and lakebeds. Just as happened at Kalamazoo.
