Tulsa Peace Fellowship

There never was a good war or a bad peace. ~Ben Franklin

Thank you Tulsa, on behalf of the TPF Steering Committee, for all your support today, at our first peace vigil with the theme "Don't Attack Iran: They lied last time (in Iraq); they're lying again now (about Iran)". Don't get fooled again: there were no WMDs in Iraq, and there aren't any now in Iran. The warmongers only want you to believe that there are, for their own war-profiteering purposes.

My favorite moment today was when we were approached by an approximately 13-year-old girl who wanted to personally express her support.

"I really believe in what you're doing," she said.

Also, we were blessed with a grassroots member coming all the way from Ponca City, Oklahoma, to join us on the line at 41st & Yale for our anti-war demonstration, in Tusla. Would that more people from out of town would join us, for our monthly demonstration.

With a new theme, some Tulsans were recalcitrant, judging from the contorted faces and the hostility in their gestures. The good thing about anger is that it is an emotion that passes quickly, if you let it. Let it, angry Tulsans. Stop watching TV news, and read up on the brewing conflict in the Middle East. There is little reason to be angry at Iran. Read something good, like this article from the Huffington Post:
