There never was a good war or a bad peace. ~Ben Franklin
Happy New Year! Let's hope 2012 is the year that peace prevails!
We have the following updated list for our Steering Committee.
TPF Steering Committee for 2012 (the 9-member Board, listed here roughly in order of seniority)
The TPF executive for 2012 will consist of Manley (President), Cheek (Vice-President), and Nuspl (Sec'y/Treasurer). Fron 2013 to 2017, we have been suffering from the absence of a vice-president in charge of activism, to organize our monthly "first Saturday" protest. Do you want to come forward? As a collective, the TPF executive and steering committee are committed to seeking consensus, as far as possible, in all our decision-making on behalf of the Fellowship. Grassroots participation at our monthly meetings is actively encouraged!
In addition to the Steering Committee (the Board), we have a group of non-voting advisors and wisdom-keepers. For 2012, the Advisory Group (honorary positions, TPF emeritii and patrons) is 22 people strong.
TPF Advisory Group (honorary positions, TPF emeritii and patrons):
Harry Allison, former TPF advisor. He died in 2008.
Our activism is undertaken to a degree under the following larger regional and national organizations.
Umbrella Groups for TPF Activism & Fellowship:
September 11th Families for Peaceful Tomorrows
WE WILL NEED HELP this year and all subsequent years to establish and maintain our membership as a chapter of PEACE ACTION. Contact the TPF Sec'y/Treasurer today about becoming a sustaining member, with a monthly, quarterly, or yearly financial contribution to TPF.

If I want to volunteer, who do I call?
Volunteers with the the Tulsa Peace Fellowship come together regularly at rallies and demonstrations – just come and join us!
You can also attend our monthly organizational meeting, held five days after our monthly peace vigil (see first Saturday of the month, for regularly scheduled anti-war demonstration, 41st & Yale).
In other words, how is TPF structured?
We are a grassroots, bottom-up, civic-sector organization, organized as a collective. We are governed by an entirely volunteer Steering Committee, equivalent to a Board of Directors, including three volunteer officers (President, Vice-President and Secretary/Treasurer). The Steering Committee consists of the nine or ten most active and engaged members of the Fellowship, selected annually. We follow an internal by-law on consensus decision making. We also have a non-voting Advisory Group, consisting of former board members, our financial supporters, and wisdom keepers. There are various sub-committees or task forces with specific peace-related missions, organized by issue, which you can join. We are a registered non-profit.

"There never was a good war or a bad peace."
For 2013 and 2014, we have been suffering without a vice-president in charge of activism, to organize our monthly "first Saturday" protest. Do you want to come forward?
There has been some interest of late in reviving the TPF “first Saturday” protests. Whoever among the board members comes forward to organize these is welcome to also assume the mantle of TPF Vice-President, on the TPF executive. If a non-board member comes forward from out grassroots, the organizer of the protests will be gladly co-opted onto the TPF Steering Committee (board).
