Event Description

Feb 11th is the Tulsa Peace Fellowship monthly meeting. It's a Thursday evening.

Yes, it's held at Peace House Tulsa, inside the UU Church of the Restoration, 1314 N. Greenwood Ave., just north of OSU-Tulsa/Langston campus.

We hope to have an ambassador or two from Student for Liberty, the T.U. group.

Agenda for the meeting will be posted shortly.

Perhaps we'll show a film at 8pm as well.

I.Current/Ongoing Business

A. For discussion: TPF spending priorities.

B. Measuring success as a social movement
Another $50 donation, this time from supporter in OKC.

C. Post-Mortem: previous weekend's TPF Monthly anti-war demo, 6th Feb 2010

D. New Advisor added to TPF Advisory Group: Serena Guay, with the Oklahoma Center for Conscience, in Oklahoma City. No religious affiliation.

E. One of TPF's two copies of the DVD 'Rethink Afghanistan' was donated to the Tulsa Public Library.

F. TPF exposure in print: Need volunteer to submit event notices to free weekly newspapers in town

A. Phone-tree to be established for attendance at local TPF events. In addition
B. Sign-painting for next themed anti-war demonstration
C. TPF endorsed the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition's planned “March on Washington” planned for March 20th 2010.
D. For discussion: Can TPF endorse the boycott, divestment and sanctions campaign against Israel? in response to the apartheid regime in Israel/Palestine
The Goldstone report, formally known as the "Report of the United Nations Fact Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict," found that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) committed war crimes during the Dec. 27, 2008, to Jan. 18, 2009, Gaza War. The report was released last fall.
